Training in art school has provided Dave with the sensibilities and esthetics necessary when producing refined instruments. He credits most of his instrumental influences to that of the Gibson/Lloyd Loar/via Jim Triggs line. Some seminar work with Bob Benedetto provided broad overview knowledge, while the initial catalyst stemmed from a conversation with Bill Hollenbeck at a local guitar show.
